You can make an impact in your local community by contacting your local business and asking them to commit to the below set of commitments. By more businesses willing to be socially conscious about shopping responsibly, we will have more support in our efforts to beat debt together.
Here are some other ways you can support a responsible shopping experience:
- Be critical of advertisements.
- Know your budget before going into a marketplace.
- Expect to receive all pertinent information before a transaction.
- Understand the company you are buying from, i.e. Are they fair trade? Environmentally friendly? Support your beliefs? or Do they give back towards charities that you would support?
- Encourage others to shop responsibly.
